It’s always a pleasure to walk into the kitchen at the Ronald McDonald House and be greeted by a wonderful volunteer group full of smiles. This is always the case when Ledcor visits RMHC to volunteer and support the families who have had to travel for pediatric care.

For over 75 years, Ledcor has been investing in their local communities. Together, they raise money and awareness for causes and organizations that are important to them, focusing on children’s health and assisting families.

Their Edmonton office employees get involved by volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House because it is important to all of them to be able to lend a hand wherever possible. Many times, a delicious meal is prepared by the Ledcor team – filling the hearts (and bellies) of families who could really use that moment of respite and family time.

There are also several close connections to the Ronald McDonald House, as over the years several employees with Ledcor have called RMHC their home-away-from-home. Seeing that sign outside the family suite at Edmonton’s Ronald McDonald House is a reminder to them that they are supported whether they are at work or during a challenging medical journey by people who care.

Which brings us to their official program, Ledcor Cares. It’s a simple concept focused on caring for each other, which perfectly aligns with the mission at RMHC Alberta. Their acts of service and investment in RMHC Alberta have paved the way to allowing us to serve families through accommodation, meals, transportation and more.

We’re honoured that the enthusiastic, compassionate, and community-minded team at Ledcor have identified RMHC Alberta as one of the charities they have supported since 2007. It is wonderful to be part of the many ways they give back – and there is not a volunteer, staff member or family who hasn’t been impacted by the energy and service they regularly bring into the House.
